Editor's Pick March 2010: Aqua Lung Zuma

Aqualung Zuma BCD

Roll it up or lay it flat, the new Zuma packs tight and light, tipping the
scales at less than 4.4 lbs. Its soft-pack design delivers great tank
stability and places tank weight at the hips for improved security.
Sculpted, padded shoulders help deliver a comfy ride, and a combination
of four D-rings and a roll-down utility pocket provide just enough
storage. Divers will also value easy-loading Sure-Lock II integrated
weight pockets and a convenient right shoulder pull dump.

Editor's Pick March 2010: Apeks Flight

 Apeks

Smart material choices and a modest — not tiny — size give the Flight a
fighting weight of only 16 ounces in the yoke version. Twenty percent
smaller than other Apeks models, this travel-oriented reg boasts a
balanced first and second stage and is ready for water temps down to 50
degrees. The second stage includes a diver-adjustable Venturi switch
and a new exhaust tee designed to enhance breathing performance.

Editor's Pick March 2010: Oceanic Veo 3.0

Oceanic veo

The Veo 3.0 offers a choice between Pelagic DSAT (Spencer/Powell data
basis) or Pelagic Z+ (Buhlmann ZHL-16C data basis) algorithms, so
divers can switch between the two to create the best fit for their
current diving needs. The system can handle two nitrox mixes, both up
to 100 percent O2, and its three operating modes — Normal, Gauge and
Free — cover all the diving bases. Other goodies include a Deep Stop
feature, countdown timer, SmartGlo backlighting and the ability to
download software updates.
